Dialogos announces the deployment of its speech recognition system in Arabic
04/2002
Following the deployment of Nuance Communications’ speech recognition system in the Greek and Turkish languages, Dialogos moves on with the adaptation of the system to the Arabic language.
Aiming at broadening its speech recognition system, Dialogos deployed on behalf of Nuance Communications an Arabic language model. The training of the Arabic model was based on a multiple pronunciations lexicon of 45000 words. The data collection was performed in Jordan during the summer of 2001 and includes a big number of recorded phrases by different Arabic speakers . The system can be customized so as to optimize performance in the recognition of different Arabic dialects.
