The first speech synthesis system (TTS) in the Greek language, delivering natural sounding speech, is available by Dialogos. This system, deployed by Dialogos in cooperation with Rhetorical Systems Ltd, supports two voices in the Greek language, Iphigenia and Orestis, the female and male voices respectively.
Iphigenia, already integrated in the voice portal of Cosmote mobile operator, welcomes and guides the users of the portal’s new services of horoscope and fortune-telling with cards. Additionally, the speech synthesis system is implemented in the email reading through the telephone product of Dialogos. Iphigenia and Orestis read the incoming messages, since they are trained to identify Greek or English texts and even Greeklish, the writing of Greek texts with Latin alphabet, as well as numbers, symbols and acronyms.
