Dialogos breaks ground and introduces speech recognition in smartphones!
Speech recognition can play a leading role in optimizing mobile phones’ handiness and user-friendliness. At these appliances the traditional means of interaction (keypad and monitor) are restricted by the phones’ small size, battery’s capacity and cost.
Speech, on the other hand, is considered a natural and easy means of users’ interaction with mobile handsets. Voice solutions have already been implemented in commercial applications and constitute a tendency keen to grow in the following years. The core of this tendency lies on automatic speech recognition, ASR, a field where Dialogos excels since 1998. When mobile phones are concerned, this technology could be used, for instance, in voice dialing, voice search, voice control over automated appliances, text dictation etc.
