DIALOGOS S.A., in cooperation with the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE S.A.), has launched “1535 - Healthcare Line”, the first voice portal scheduling clinical appointments. DIALOGOS S.A. has embedded speech recognition technologies and voice solutions’ functionality into OTE’s healthcare line, thus enabling the service’s automation.
At launch, the system had been supporting the management of three healthcare units’ afternoon appointments. Since November 2003, the morning appointments -of other healthcare units too- are also being scheduled through the system.
The system enables patients to choose the nearest available and most convenient medical appointment in a hospital or clinic of their choice or reschedule an already booked appointment, by calling “1535”. The greatest advantage of this service, which all users enjoy, is the possibility of calling 24/7 without being held in line.
Nowadays, in almost 50 healthcare units, patients’ appointments are scheduled through this service. Notably, the automated system serves 15.000 citizens’ requests and hosts more than 250.000 incoming calls.
